GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.​ – 12/16

From Michael – The WEST trail was in pretty good shape. The trail shaped up nicely last night with the cold temperatures.

From Phil – Sun. Ran our South run. 443 and only 2 1/2 miles of 88 East. Again 88 East is NOT! fully open. Due to water holes and downed trees. However sleds are picking there way through that 3? Mile wet area section. With the little bit colder temps. All of our trails held up really well today.443 is in decent shape.Hopefully we’ll get a plan in place mid week to get the bowed/broken brush and hanging or downed limb’s off trail 443 so we can widened to the correct width. And y’all won’t have to dodge them helmet thumpers. So….443 is nice other than 8 miles of bowed low hanging trees/brush. Picture is of A good section of 88 East.
