18 degrees this morning and a light snow is in the air. We picked up about 4 inches of heavy wet snow yesterday. I`m not gonna comment on the weather…..ya`ll know what this weekend looks like, right? So….heres what happened on the trails yesterday…..and whats gonna happen today…..hopefully.

Groomer Scott hit the Point trails yesterday and they are good to go…..and now the story. Groomer Mike took off on the Pine Stump trail #8. He got about 6 miles into it and blew a cooling line to the expansion tank. He turned around and milked it back to the barn….one machine down. He grabbed the other available machine and got about 4 miles down the trail and the bracket that holds the windshield wipers on broke, turned around and got back to the barn…..two down….s#@*!!!! Groomer Scott was out with the other machine and wouldn`t be back for awhile so Mike worked on the machines and tore everything apart and ordered the bracket that broke, that will be in hopefully by tomorrow. He is runnin to the Soo this morning to get a new cooling line and we`ll have atleast this machine up an runnin today…..hopefully. So this is why the Stump trail didn`t get done yesterday, we plan on hittin it Thursday. Today we are going to hit the Point trails again and the Falls trail as soon as Mike gets back with the hose. Some luck huh, we just can`t catch a break. All I gots fer today.

22 degrees this morning and sunny. Yesterday was a total blizzard UP here so this sunny day is kinda welcomed. Gonna take me most of the day to clean up.

This past weekend was crazy busy UP here. Haven`t seen that much traffic on the trails in a long time. They got pretty beat up Sat. but we were out in full force with the groomers, all 3 of them, all night long. We also had alot of law inforcement in town because people were just going crazy….flying through town on the town trail and down M-123 through town. We had one groomer get hit head on and I groomed Sat. night and got hit in the drag 3 times. COME ON PPL., SLOW DOWN ON BUSY WEEKENDS!!!!!! Take you`re time and have fun and be safe. I heard the law was writing tickets for ppl. doing stupid stuff. I know this is gonna get all over the internet saying Paradise doesn`t want ppl. here and they will write you a ticket for anything. Simpley NOT TRUE!!! We love the snowmobiliers here, just quit doing stupid stuff!!! Thats all I got to say about that.

Like I wrote above, the trails took a beating last weekend but we got em back in shape. All trails are rated at least good, even the south swamp, and some on the better side of good. Next weekend is a holiday weekend so its gonna be busy again so PLEASE don`t come UP and go crazy again. The law WILL be out in full force. It looks like the weather will cooperate for another week UP here but a warm up is coming according to the weather guessers…..we`ll wait and see.
