Sledheads of Frederic – 01/14

Nothing new this morning in Frederic, its 17 degrees out and 11 a..m. and I just saw the first sled of the day go by. There were only 4 or 5 that stopped by here yesterday. Two guys just walked in on their way home from Curtis and on their way back to Indy. Big Tony and James were up there testing out their new sleds and said riding was great since Saturday.

Gaylord Bureau – 1/14

The Gaylord area trails have a 3 ~ 4 inch base! Trails are being groomed all week. Trails are rated in ‘GOOD’ condition at this time! Caution is advised near Hayes Tower Road and Charles Brink Road!

Sledheads of Frederic – 01/13

Minus 28 degrees this morning I Like It!! and that was on the outskirts of Grayling, I only had about minus 12 at Lake Margrethe, the bad thing about that is that its to cold to snow and the weather forcast for this coming week doesn’t show much snow at all. The really bad part is its predicting 39 for Saturday and above 32 for sunday and Monday. I am just hoping they are wrong and that the forecast will change… The grayling to lovells trail got a light cut groom to it yesterday and the guys that were just in said the trail from Gaylord to Waters was excellent just now.

Gaylord Bureau

Trails are in good condition. They have a 3 inch base. We received 2 to 3 inches of new snow overnight. Trails will be groomed all weekend. Caution is advised near Hays Tower Rd for a dip with standing water and slushy snow along the railroad tracks near Charles Brink Rd. Trails are just starting out so please use caution on all the trails as more slush may develop, and drifting.
