Gaylord Area Trail Report – VisitGaylord.com – 01/08

The Gaylord area has picked up about 8 inches of snow during the week and the forecast calls for 8 to 12 inches on Thursday night and Friday. Groomers are heading out to get the trails in shape for the weekend.

Sledheads of Frederic – 01/08

Lets ride, the time is here and there is a storm predicted for today yet..That all sounds good to me. The sled count is steadily going up. Its now 1:45 and I just walked in the door here in Frederic. We were open first thing this morning but I have been at our weekly Century 21 meeting which took a while longer than usual this week. I am expecting a busy weekend even though we could still use more snow. I am certain the feelings are nobody wants to wait anymore so that means it wont take long to tear the trails up but that is how it goes. So we are finally off a running. You know its winter when the kids in Grayling start riding their sleds to school. I just took this picture outside of the Grayling HIgh School. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Gaylord Area Trail Report – VisitGaylord.com – 01/07

Cold weather and snow in the forecast all week.

Sledheads of Frederic – 01/07

Its sunny and cold out with about 5 inches of new snow since yesterday. It was snowing and blowing all day yesterday. Never did see any sleds in Frederic, I was here till ten last night and it was a tough drive home. I would say after plowing and looking at what I have this morning that it is time to go out there right now. I still wouldn’t expect great riding but it is a start. I checked out the Gaylord trail this morning and no tracks on it and also no signs of the groomer either but I would bet they are coming soon. There is a lot of snow on the trail but I don’t think so much that it would be blowing over your windshield making it hard to see. That’s the best I can say for now and here is the video on the grayling groomers first time out. Thanks for checking in. Pete https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQLVtZxN6YM
