Sledheads of Frederic – 01/17

I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by the trail conditions that riders have been telling me about. I haven’t heard one person say they were horrible and most say its been pretty good. I looked at the trail along 93 on the way here this morning and while I saw a lot of dirt I also saw a lot of white and you just have to dodge thru it. The one group of people that was here yesterday and said they were riding to the bridge made it up there and said it was a good ride and they sent me a picture which is below here. Reports of lots of sleds at lakes of the north and starvation lake and steady sled traffic in Frederic all day yesterday. So the surprise is nice. Its 18 out right now and cloudy but forcast is still for 30s today but still surprisingly great reports with even the lack of groomers running…

Sledheads of Frederic – 01/16

And the weekend begins, its 15 degrees out and way to sunny. There have been a few sleds thru here already this morning and they were heading for the bridge, they told me they will send me a picture if they make it there. I took a picture of the trail north towards Gaylord, looking pretty thin along with no signs of any groomer signs from either Grayling or Gaylord groomers and I am certain that is because there is nothing to groom. We only had a few flakes fall last night…
