TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> 02/10
Groomer Jeff went out with trainee Dan on the north trail. He reported that the trails groomed up great. Dan did a great job and is ready for his solo. Groomer Dirk went out on the east run. He reported, after the heavy traffic we had over the weekend, the trails groomed up great and rated them as excellent. Thanks guys for volunteering your time! TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> The winter weather advisory has come and gone. The trails took a hit this weekend with all the traffic. Luckily, we had a narrow lake effect band set up shop on Sunday and dropped a foot of fluff in some areas on the trail. Elsewhere, we received 2-6 inches. A few club members went out to check the trails on their sleds, and rated the trails as good, with some snirt in areas.
We will be panning this new snow before the warm up this week. Hopefully, this warn up doesn't hurt the base too much.

The entire trail system has been panned and the groomers are now in a holding pattern until we get more snow. The trails are rideable but need more snow. Corners are thin and there are some snirty areas. There is a winter weather advisory for 3-6+ in effect until Saturday P.M., fingers crossed. #traversecity #snowphotos
