Trail Report: 1-24-22
Building that base! We have a winter weather advisory for 3-6 inches of fresh white gold. It is currently starting to snow with more to come. The trails are starting to get better with some snirty areas. Traffic this weekend was moderate in the area and the groomer drivers are reporting that they are starting to get something to work with (see pic). Trails are currently rated as fair to good with some ice in the corners. On another note, a boogie wheel was found in the Rasho road drop zone incase anyone is looking for it (pic attached). WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Mostly sunny skies are in store for many areas south of the bridge this afternoon as low clouds may linger across the eastern U.P. through the day. Temperatures will continue to warm through the first half of the week, reaching well into the 40s and even low 50s for some on Wednesday. TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Sled Solutions >> 50 Miles on the Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club system from Peegeo's to Kalkaska and I'd give it a 8 out of 10. Trails were flat but we do have SOME dirt showing in the open areas where the sun is hitting it. Overall 95% coverage. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm again but right back below freezing. Weekend should be good to go. #traversecity #snowphotos
