Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/28

Greetings Sledders,

Hi Ya’ll. We are still here. We’ve had the motel listed since May and have had just a hand full of interested folks making inquires, so you’re stuck with Sandy, me and the Girls for the foreseeable. For those of you that are new, Sandy and I actually do this report online or over the phone, and the Girls are our English Setters and they don’t talk.

Anybody who’s been awake over the last 24 hrs knows there’s a storm a coming and I think there’s little sense in talking about until it gets here. Which we will do early tomorrow. We can give you better info in terms of snow make-up, which I assume it will be wet, snow depth, and what the plan is for grooming.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.

Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 03/04

Greetings Sledders,

Well it’s about time to wrap this thing up for another year. We got about two inches from this so called storm that passed through and the snow was followed by a little freezing drizzle. Right now the trails are in good shape and should last through the weekend and will be groomed on our normal schedule. Based on the extended forecast it would seem that our grooming efforts may came to a screeching halt the first of next week as temps are going to be at a snow killing 36 to 39 degrees with lots of sun in the mix. So if you are going to get that last ride in around these parts this weekend would look to be it.

No more extreme electric air guitar sessions on the straight-aways, or those more mellow air tambourine jams in the curves for me, it’s pretty much getting time to hang the keys up for one more year. It’s to bad too cause I was getting damn good on the Townshend windmill in close quarters.

This year was especially hard to report on due to the varying conditions that we had considering the differences in snow from the South to the North ends of our system. I hope we didn’t steer anyone wrong with our assessment of the conditions both in this report and on the phone, we try very hard to get you accurate info.

Thanks so much for reading and more importantly for your patronage, you have continued to help make this business and the two of us a success.

Now to the serious stuff. We have been here for nearly 15 years and it’s getting to be time to retire. That said we are putting Fay’s on the market. This means that I may or may not be printing out this gibberish next season. If it sells by then I won’t if it doesn’t I will so we can’t technically say good-bye, but the possibility exists. So if any of you are interested in being your own boss this is a successful self supporting motel to buy.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,

Keith, Sandy and The Girls
