KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/19
Okay…. We know…. We know…. This winter has been a hard one to forecast for the meteorologists for sure-but we are hoping they are right on this upcoming week like they were here in the Keweenaw for the early season storm and the Christmas storm! The entire UP could use some fresh snow!
Nick Berendt (a frequent rider and supporter of the Keweenaw each season) and crew have been up riding this weekend and shared these photos and said, “Couldn’t be better”
This is a time when most riders will realize despite the weather conditions the area has been dealt, area grooming operations have done the best they can with what they have. The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club, along with all UP clubs have been working around the clock trying to provide the best possible conditions on this busy holiday weekend! We have received many reports from riders like Nick and crew sharing praises for the clubs! 👏 We would like to thank them all!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> Banks are Built Up, Trails are Shaping Up, Winter has Kicked In! Things are rolling along here in the Keweenaw, trails have seen heavy traffic but continue to hold up! We get some insane banks here that are almost walls of snow! (This video from a return trip, hense the great trail in front of us!) ❄️ #keweenaw #snowphotos
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Another chilly day is in store today with highs ranging in the teens. Light lake effect snow showers persist today through tonight in the eastern UP, where another 2-4in will be possible.
