KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 01/22
What an amazing weekend here in the Keweenaw! We hope you all had fun wherever you were able to ride! If you weren’t able to ride, we hope you were busy planning a trip in the future!
This past week, we personally heard from 3 riders that actially extended their trips by a day because they were having such a great experience.
Alex Linstead was one of them! Alex shared these photos of his trip with us and said,
“We drove up early Saturday morning, brought my buddy whos never had the chance to ride the Keweenaw before. We put on 200 miles Saturday and had mostly excellent trails! We stopped at the The Mariner North in Copper Harbor. We decided to stay the night and went to Downtowner Lounge for dinner. Then we stopped at Quincy’s for a drink, where we saw the groomer go by and went out and rode the section of 3 that just reopened and it was amazing! Went back out thismorning and put on another 60 miles before heading out, ate breakfast at Slim’s Cafe and and it was great!”

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 01/21
Trails took a beating yesterday as the main corridors on our system saw very high traffic. As a reminder, we lack a robust “base” for this time of year. We cut and laid things back down but without that base it tears apart quickly.
Reminder that the High Rock Spur is not being groomed due to the trail condition and that there are still many wet areas on our system. Ride right and with caution as you support our local establishments!
