KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports – 12/13

I had to make a trip south today so I took some pics along the way. You can see the difference from Toivola to Rhinelander Wisconsin. South of Rhinelander is just a dusting of snow. If you’re traveling north drive safe it’s a different world up here in the Yoop.

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Lake effect flurries and snow showers are possible today, March 1st, 2026 across some of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. With dry air mixing in, totals will be relatively kept in check, but a swath of 1-3", perhaps 4" is possible along M-28 south of Grand Marais. Changing wind fields will also allow for light/brief accumulations along some of our lakeshore regions in the Lower Peninsula, but it's not guaranteed for everyone. Timing is through the remainder of the day. Mild temperatures coming later this week, which should help begin the melting process for many. #miweather #keweenaw #munising #newberry #sooLake effect flurries and snow showers are possible today, March 1st, 2026 across some of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports – 12/11

I’ve recorded 14 inches of snow in a little over 24 hrs. here in Toivola. That puts us at a total of 75.5 since November 11th (1 month). Plus they are calling for another 12 inches by tomorrow morning so we shall see. Bet you can’t find the ol Merc under 3 foot of snow.

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 12/10

W🤩W! What a crazy, busy start to the 2024/25 season! It’s not often that tgere is decent rideable snow on opening day!

We have had so many messages regarding conditions and asking for help in planning trips to the Keweenaw area to ride! We apologize if we haven’t gotten back to you yet and are working on getting caught up!

Looks like we have additional white gold on the way also!
Jake Groteboer and crew were up riding and shared these photos with us from riding this past weekend. Jacob said, “Fantastic riding yesterday. We trailered north of the Houghton bridge and unloaded in Calumet.

Great trails all the way up to Copper Harbor and back. Only came across 4 other sleds the entire day. We stayed at Adventure Motel and ate at Parkview Lodge & Grill and The Mariner North in Copper Harbor. Great food and lodging!”

Thanks for sharing Jacob! So glad your early season riding was good!
