KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western Up Trail Reports….
Took our new #3 New Holland T7 210 to Toivola today and that’s as far south it will ever go. Trails where pretty rough this morning and it took a little more work to get them in shape. Connor is out giving them a second pass and they should be in pretty good in the morning. Forecast calls for very cold temps and snow for tonight. Let’s hope they’re right we need it.

Conditions are really shaping up in the Keweenaw. With a great base and more snow predicted. I expect trails will be in exceptional condition over the next two weeks.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Dense fog will impact the morning commute, primarily over the west half. Warmer than normal temps continue today in the 30s to mid 40s. Drizzle and or freezing drizzle is possible this morning in the far west and Keweenaw (20% chance). KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club >> Yesterday's report from Groomer Chris out of our Greenland barn:
I just got back from inspecting 3/13. Roughly 18 bare spots this evening compared to the two that were there when I went out around noon. Most of the bare spots are 3-4' in diameter however there is about a 16' long bare spot on the 90 degree turn/hill by 3. Significant portions of the trails are pretty slushy and the snow is real loose on the majority of the trails. Thankfully 13 is still in decent shape however the stretch of 3 from aspen lane to the 3/12 intersection is full of small 6" or so moguls.
I'm gonna hold off on grooming because the snow is so wet I don't think I'll be able to get it to flow out the drag and it's not gonna get cold enough to firm up the snow.
