First off I forgot to mention the backwoods is 2.5 – 3 foot of very hard frozen snow with around 3 inches of fluff. Trails are looking good and should hold up just fine by the weekend. So come on up and enjoy our trails one more time.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Lake effect snow showers persist over the northwest wind snow belts through tonight, with the highest totals - potentially up to 4 to 7 inches - in the eastern UP. I meant to do a video yesterday after the Storm but I spent most of the day moving snow. So we have some trees down again and hope to have them taken care of today and get back to grooming tonight. It was pretty cool meeting Todd while I was doing a trail report today.

Trail 109 out of Twin Lakes is in excellent condition to Hazel Swamp Road. From there to Alston we have trees down. A crew is going out today to clear the trail. Hopefully they are able to accomplish this. Please ride with caution in that area.
