Fletchy’s guide crew ended the Snowmobille season today with one more backcountry tour! It was a great season! Keep us in mind for next year to experience some of the best Snowmobiling in the country!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 3/31
March 31st is here and this is the last official day of the 2021/22 season. Trails running through private land will be closed after today. Trails running on state land do not close. Within the KSC trail system that is trail 17 from Calumet to Hancock and trail 3 running south of Houghton that do not close to snowmobile traffic. These trails are open to ORV traffic.
Our snow “storm” sure didn’t pan out…. Keweenaw County only recorded 4.5 inches of fresh snowfall and a total of 305.5 inches for the season so far. There is definitely not a lack of snow though for those of us out enjoying the trails today!
Reid Berman has been up riding Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula for the past week and half 😳 and shared these photos from this morning. Reid said, “It’s pretty good out here, a few bumps, but they are minor. It has been good riding!”

The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club would like to thank everyone for an awesome season!
Grooming operations for the remainder of the season have ended. Trails are open through March 31st when gates on trails crossing private property will be locked.
Riding after March 31st is only allowed on the trails running on state owned land. Within the KSC trail system that includes Trail 17 from Calumet to Hancock and Trail 3 from Houghton to Toivola. Ride at your own risk as trails will not be maintained.
We would like to thank all riders, sponsors and club members for a great season!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Patchy dense fog is possible early this morning across the west and central U.P. and then again tonight. Warmer than normal temperatures continue through the week. Highs in the upper 30s to low 50s today, coldest north underneath cloudy skies and warmer south under sunny skies. Lows near or just above freezing late in the week. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club >> Yesterday's report from Groomer Chris out of our Greenland barn:
I just got back from inspecting 3/13. Roughly 18 bare spots this evening compared to the two that were there when I went out around noon. Most of the bare spots are 3-4' in diameter however there is about a 16' long bare spot on the 90 degree turn/hill by 3. Significant portions of the trails are pretty slushy and the snow is real loose on the majority of the trails. Thankfully 13 is still in decent shape however the stretch of 3 from aspen lane to the 3/12 intersection is full of small 6" or so moguls.
I'm gonna hold off on grooming because the snow is so wet I don't think I'll be able to get it to flow out the drag and it's not gonna get cold enough to firm up the snow.
