Munising Area Trail Report – 02/07
TRAIL REPORT, Tuesday, February 7, 2023 7:00 a.m.
WARM SPELL PASSING THROUGH!
Overall Trails are grooming out nice and in Very Good condition for some great riding. We have a warm spell passing through over the next few days so grooming operations may be interrupted. This just depends on groom-ability and whether or not the snow starts balling up on us. We do have a few trouble spots with one being the Trail 419 creek crossing between Munising and Wetmore. Water Hazards on Trail 418 are gone now but there is still a depression at the West hole location (marked with stop and stop ahead signs). Keep a close eye on trail conditions as you ride and stay right. Stay tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/7
Another run last night found a little help from mother nature as we were graced with a little fresh snow! Conditions remain great with a warmup coming. Expecting the trail to hold well, but will get rough as the snow gets wet. We will be watching conditions and grooming accordingly.
We should be able to continue grooming, but if conditions are not cool enough at night, we may have to park the groomer. Our operators know the trail well and will be making the call if needed. Rest assured, they will get it back to great as fast as they can. These guys always do great work! Ride right and ride safe!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Winter Storm Watches have been issued across the entire U.P. for Wednesday night into Thursday. There is the potential for significant snow, sleet and freezing rain (ice) accumulations. The combination of ice on trees/powerlines and wind could result in power outages. At this time the best chance for accumulating snow is over the northern and western U.P. Possibly making one more full run before the end of season to make sure we are right on track to finish the season out. Reports have been coming in that the trail is pretty smooth. Grooming will end, but the entire trail will be open through the 31st. Private land closes across the state on the 1st of April, so feel free to keep riding, but please respect private property as land use permits do not allow clubs to keep the trail open. Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos
