Munising Area Trail Report – 01/29
TRAIL REPORT, Sunday, January 29, 2023 7:45 a.m.
A LITTLE MORE FRESH SNOW!
Overall Trails are in Good condition with some light, fresh snowfall. One machine is down for a hydraulic system flush. We do have neighboring clubs helping out to cover in the mean time. We still have hazardous water holes on Trail 418 so ride and cross with extreme caution (Map in images showing locations). Signs now mark both locations. Keep a close eye on conditions as you ride and stay right. Stay tuned for updates!

Hello everyone, if you are riding today, please be aware that we have the groomer out grooming g today. Because of scheduling issues, no o e could go last night, so we are out today to hopefully make-up for it. Just wanted everyone to be aware that the groomer is out grooming g today, instead of at night like normal. Pic for attention. Lol

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Here is our last call for ongoing system snow and lake effect snow from now through Sunday evening at 6 pm EST, December 20th & 21st, 2025.
Uncertainty exists primarily in our trace-1" category which extends from Frankfort and Alpena south to I-96/I-69. The clipper moving through today may produce a quick squall of rain & snow with minimal accumulation some time beyond 1 pm EST, but models haven't determined if this band will solidify or not. If it does, the chance for a rain/snow mix exists in areas highlighted in the pink dashed box. This rain/snow mix would only be today. Any snow on Sunday will be lake effect off of Lake Superior, hence why our highest totals of 4-8" are located east of Munising over to Paradise. Then a transition over to lake effect snow over the west to northwest wind snowbelts. 3 to 7 inches of snowfall over the east tonight into Sunday morning.
