Munising Area Trail Report – 03/12

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 3/12

We did groom last night, but we are in a holding pattern from tonight until we see cold temps again. We did get a couple inches of wet snow today and some rain, but we have no idea what to expect when this is over and the cold returns. We will keep you informed on our plans as the weather allows!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 3/11

TRAIL REPORT – Wednesday, 03/11/2020
SNOW and GREAT LATE SEASON RIDING!

Overall trail conditions are very good to good with great riding conditions. Grooming is providing really good late season results with a great base. We did get about an inch of fresh snow last night and it’s still coming down. Looks like rain forecast for Thursday so grooming may get put on hold for a day or two before the weekend. Forecasts this time of year change by the hour so lets hope for snow instead. Regardless of the weather we have a deep base so trails should be hanging on for awhile. Trails 8, 417, 418, 422 and 7 North and 7 to Buckhorn Road are very good. All other Trails are a bit choppy but not bad considering the weather and break we had in grooming. Near the towns we have bare roads and dirty/icy snow on trails running along the roadways. Trail 419 between Christmas and Munising has moguls on inside corners from the West bay Spur intersection East but is fairly flat elsewhere. Very much rideable just as long as you slow down and pay attention to trail conditions. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore has the big hill on the Munising side icy at the top with moguls on the inside corners but all rideable. Keep cold weather snow dancing so we can hang on to the season, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe! DETAILED REPORT HERE: www.algersorva.com/trailreport/03-11-2020/

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 3/11

We haven’t given up on grooming yet for those of you who aren’t ready to give up on riding yet. There’s still plenty of base on the majority of our trail, and we had great results grooming last night. Temps are looking good to keep our guys in the operators seat throughout the week, and weekend. A couple extra hours of daylight now is another good reason to get out and ride..
