Newberry Trail Report – 03/22

Trails around town and close to town are down to dirt, still rideable snow conditions to the north. Staging area at silver creek trailhead should still be okay to ride from. Holland lake staging area north of pine stump has snow heading towards grand marais, Paradise, seney, and plenty of back trails also good snow.

TASA REPORT – March 22, 2018

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR GROOMERS LEAVE NEWBERRY AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON TO GROOM. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE GROOMERS.

Our nights are cold so our trails are holding up. You cannot ride of out of Newberry but there are 2 staging areas – 3 miles north of town (Silver Creek Staging Area) and at Holland Staging area past Pine Stump on CR 407.

Please watch for open water holes that may occur during the day time hours due to the warm sun. Lots of snow north of Newberry.

North Trail #9 Trail is in good condition. This trail is being groomed today for this weekend. The trail is plowed starting at CR 415 and CR 422 to the west for logging.

Trail #45 This trail is in good condition. This trail is being groomed today for this weekend.

South Trail #9/2 This trail is in poor condition.

Newberry Trail Report – 03/15

March 15 – Trails looking good today, fresh snow falling. Town trail could use a bit more still.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR GROOMERS LEAVE NEWBERRY AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON TO GROOM. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE GROOMERS.

Our nights are cold so our trails are holding up. You cannot ride of out of Newberry but there are 2 staging areas – one by the RR tracks and 3 miles north of town (Silver Creek Staging Area).

North Trail #9 Trail is in fair condition. This trail is being groomed everyday but please the corners are icy due to the warm days and cold nights. The trail is plowed starting at CR 415 and CR 422 to the west for logging.

Trail #45 This trail is in fair condition. This trail is being groomed each day but please be careful of the icy corners.

South Trail #9/2 This trail is in fair condition. This trail is not being groomed due to the lack of snow. This trail does have a lot of ice so please be careful. There are water holes 4 to 5 miles north of Epoufette.
