Finally a SNOW DAY, About 5 to 6 inches of snow. We really didnt get that much overnight as most of it came yesterday afternoon. We have to start somewhere. I have been plowing most of the morning and it is 9:30 on wednesday morning. If you were out there to ride right now I think it would be decent. Roads in Grayling were all very wet this morning. Roads north of the high school to Frederic are nice and snow covered. Weather looks like it should hold thru the weekend but what we do have will get worn quickly. Temps are supposed to start dropping below 20s so that is good. I ran up to Gaylord yesterday to get a pipe put on my plow and I saw 2 sleds riding north and 2 riding south on that little trip. I missed a Ring call from my door from 2 riders while I was gone. I didnt hear the ding but here is a pic of one of the guys. I am sure those are the two I saw riding north.So maybe we can finally get this season off and running. Thanks for checking in. Pete

The highest snow accumulations will be across the eastern UP, with 2 to 5 inches of snow possible. The potential exists for up to 0.10” of ice south of M-72. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE >> Merry Christmas Eve day. To bad the sun is out and going to melt more of our snow today. It made it up to 43 yesterday and we lost alot. I saw a few sleds across the street and heard one brapp yesterday. Very quiet out there this morning and its not looking like we will get any snow until about New Years which is not what we want to see. Even Grayling was like a ghost town when I drove thru town this morning. Pics below are from a the long lost tribe of Frederican Mohicans gathering and chanting MO MO NAH CHEE CHEE NAH in hopes of some fresh snow. I ran into them last night. JORDAN VALLEY AREA UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council >> Groomers ran north and south today, unfortunately neither operator had much good to report. The extended warm up from last week has taken a drastic toll on the trails. North of Elmira the trails were really thin today. The trails south of Alba are thin but flat and rideable as of now.
The rest of this week is expected to be cold but very little to no snow with high 30’s on Saturday. The end of next week is predicted to have high 30’s with some freezing rain.

FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE >> Its a quiet monday morning. I have seen 2 sleds go by but there was no new snow overnight.
Forcast is not favorable for later this week but I am sure there will be some sleds out and about as people
just do not want to wait. Hoping it will kick in but thats the best we can do. Its still nice and white out even though we lost alot of snow.
