Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/02

FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 02/02

There is a beautiful light snow fall coming down. Only about an inch of new snow overnight but several sleds out and about already this morning. Yesterday was the best day of this sled season and at least putting me on the board for sales this season as last year I never took in a dime the whole month of February. Lots of riders and decent trails yesterday and am expecting a decent day today on sunday. Snow was very hard a rutty yesterday morning and several riders reporting runninig hot yesterday because no lube getting on the slides. It eased up during the day as the snow softened up. Enjoy what we have out there and please ride safely. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/02

PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Town Hall Snowmobile Club Paradise MI >> 02/02

2/2/25
19 degrees this morning and snowin- n- blowing! Picked up maybe an inch or two last night and "they" are calling for an inch or two more today. Good news/bad news for the trails so lets get to it……

Very heavy traffic this weekend so bad news is they got pretty beat up. Good news is they all groomed up nice. Groomer Mike C. ran the Pine Stump trails and reported them good. Groomer Mike H. hit the Falls trail and reported it as good plus after he got done. We did not hit the Point trails yesterday but they are gettin run as I type this.

Now a little bad…..we had a break down Friday on the South trail. Only the first 15 miles or so got run cause we sprung a hydraulic leak and had to limp the machine back to the barn…luckily Groomer Dave made it back. Soooo…..if you were riding the South trail late Friday or early Saturday you ran into some pretty rough stuff. Good news is we got it fixed Friday night and I ran the trail Saturday and it groomed up nice. A little more bad news is a water hole opened up in da swamp Saturday late afternoon. It was about 5′ long and 3′ deep and all across the trail so it was difficult to get around. Good news is I got it filled in on my way back thru, it wasn`t there on my way out, and its all good now. This futher shows why I say slow down and take it easy in that section!

Speaking of slowing down. We had A LOT of speed freaks out on the trails this weekend. PLEASE SLOW DOWN when the trails are busy!!!!! Imagine flying around a corner and hittin a family with kids just because you are being an idiot and thinking you`re Jonny racer!!! SLOW THE HELL DOWN PEOPLE on busy weekends or any time for that matter. Groomer Mike H. even had some sleds fly by him at 60-70 MPH in the machine!!! SLOW THE HELL DOWN PEOPLE!!!!!! When you come up on a groomer we expect you to pass by at a walking speed!!!

All I have for today.

LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Groomer Chris

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> I know you're all sleeping, but we're out here doing cool things for all of you. 😊
So ya, took off at 6 all cognetoie thinking I'd just focus and pay attention to the task at hand tonight but see we've been spotted, evidence from several places were out here, could be the lights, it is orange, dunno but it didn't work! 😂
Anyway, 4th season playing with one of these and I can tell you it's been a perfect storm 😁 of continuous snow, temps, and all of you working with us to leave the snow on the corners for us to squish, ( See how wide and Flat they're building up!!) I just turned south at Wolf Inn, if we get this 7" Carl Bonac says "anything close to the Soo" , that's us right? 😉 we could used it but is pretty awesome right now, no complaints here! Actually belive this keeps up, we will make the cover of Better Cabins & Trails this year 😎
Hope you get outta bed and come see what we did for you!
