HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 12/16
We had a record breaking day, it was 63 degrees this morning in Pellston breaking the old record of 57 degrees which occurred in 1984. We also had extremely high winds all day today.
With that being said, all of our snow is gone and I’m sure there are tons of trees & branches down on our trails. Some of our members are planning on getting out tomorrow and this weekend to do some cleanup. If anyone has some time to spare, we would appreciate the help!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After a chilly start to the morning, temperatures will climb decently on this Sunday. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Clouds increase tonight, and snow is likely late tonight into Monday morning. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely in eastern upper and northwest lower Michigan, with an inch or less in northern lower Michigan. Please be aware there is still logging on Chadderdon road (Trail 71) & log trucks have the right of way. Please get off the trail or turn around if you encounter one, DO NOT try to go around them. HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> We had all three groomers out last night and the trails are in great shape! Everything was groomed other than the cross village loop. It’s going to be a great weekend to get out and ride, tomorrow is going to feel like a heat waive with a high of 27!
