Greetings Sledders,

Sorry for the delay but the last few days have been from groomer hell. Started in the middle of the night last Saturday when the New Holland took a puke on the trail with an alternator failure and it’s been non-stop ever since, one major issue but mostly minor ones that consume my entire day. Day in and day out!! Oh well it’s all part of the job that us volunteers don’t get paid to do.

First of all let’s talk about the new snow that you downstaters are getting and we aren’t. What’s up with that? We look to get about 2-3 maybe 4" max out of this thing. Enough to keep us in the grooming game but we really need a bunch more. Unfortunately after this system passes there’s not much in the forecast.

We are grooming and have heard good comments overall about our efforts to work with what we’ve got. We’re pretty much where we have been all season, a mixed bag of conditions.
It looks right now like I can get a window for a ride sometime tomorrow and I will update after that, unless of course something else takes a puke.

Ishpeming, MI Snowmobiling Update

Hello All,

We continue to have really cold weather and light snowfall. We havent got hit with the big storm yet but we have enough new accumulation to continuously improve the trails. The trails are in really nice shape with consistent grooming. Riders are reporting very good to excellent riding throughout most of the area.
