Cadillac / Baldwin Area Trail Report – Wolf Lake Motel and Resort – 03/03

Park the sleds and get the Bikini’s out, because snowmobiling is done for a while. As for now, the snowmobile trails are shot, but the ATV trails are ready to go. We have one of the largest ORV trail systems in the State, plus Steelhead are in the rivers right now, so bring a pole and plenty of fishing line. These fish are pound for pound the toughest fish swimming in Michigan.

We still have a couple rooms and On- site ATV rentals weather permitting. Call 231 745 4101 8am until 10pm.

Our Weekday Special for March, Sunday through Thursday is stay two days and get the third day free, No Fridays or Saturdays free. You must mention the specials at the time of the reservation and of course these specials are dependent on availability and can not be combined with any other offer.

Plus we are in the middle of one of the largest ORV trail systems in the state, so if the snow isn’t that great for snowmobiling, bring your ORV up and ride over 200 miles of ORV trails. PLEASE DON’T RIDE YOUR ORV ON THE GROOMED SNOWMOBILE TRAILS. There are plenty of open trails available for ORV riding. Don’t worry winter isn’t over for snowmobiling, but a winter ORV ride can be a blast too. If you don’t have a snowmobile or yours is broken, no problem, WE HAVE ON-SITE SNOWMOBILE RENTALS right here at the Resort. There is good snow in the woods, so two tracken and seasonal roads are a blast right now. (Which there are tons of). 231 745 4101 8am until 10pm

Rooms and ON-SITE Snowmobile Rentals are available.

Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 03/02

Greetings Sledders,

Over is over, period. This has been the worst non-winter that we’ve seen in the ten years that we’ve been here in Grayling. It started out looking like a promising one then went to hell in a hand bag and never recovered as you well know.

Here’s a few numbers to share with you as a re-cap, we groomed 4570 miles that was accomplished with 640 volunteer man hours and spent 94 hours fixing stuff and the maint. hours are probably light as I don’t always account for a half hour here and there. Last year we groomed over 8000 miles with 1200 man hours consumed.

I must hand it to our guys and commend them for a job well done given what they’ve had to work with. GREAT JOB GUYS IN DOING WHAT YOU’RE NOT GETTING PAID TO DO !!!!

It is our hope that we have accurately communicated trail conditions to you via the internet and telephone during these snow starved times. It’s always difficult to report conditions when snowfall is skimpy as one person’s decent ride can be another’s worst nightmare.

In closing, thanks to all of you that chose Fay’s Motel as your destination this season, we appreciate your patronage more than you will ever realize.

Please Be Safe at whatever it is that you do in the off season, Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.
