Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/19

We have snow, and smooth trails to enjoy. Riders that headed south enjoyed their ride on the Blue Bear and adjoining trails. Report it was excellent riding most of the ride, and what wasn’t excellent was just down right good! .. another group went west, thru Jordan Valley and report nice riding too. They did say Alba, and beyond actually the base was thinner than Gaylord. That area which had so much snow to begin enjoyed alot of traffic past few weeks but didn’t the snow we did this past weekend.
Snow continues to be in the forecast. Yipeee . Winter is here and we’re ready to ride.

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 01/19

The snowmobile trails from TwinLakes to CopperHarbor are open, and groomers are out working on them. Trails are reported to be in good to very good condition except for the High Rock trail which is in fair condition due to low snow.

Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails…….they have the right of way!!
There is logging on a short portion of Trail 133 between Gay and Lac La Belle.

The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.
