Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/15

The first real weekend of winter ended up being a busy one on the Boardman Valley. Trails were packed and staging areas were loaded with riders. The trails held up pretty good against the weekend warriors. We are expecting snow all week so it looks like winter is finally here to stay for a while. Trials are still fresh and corners are a bit icey so be careful out there. We have already had a few accidents on the trail with people riding too fast and missing corners so use caution. Whats the hurry anyway, you don’t want to miss all the scenery. Be safe and heads up for the groomers.

2ND LOCATION: Blue Sky has added a 2nd location at Shanty Creek Resort. We have Brand new 600 liquid 2 person and single person SkiDoo Snowmobiles. Check out our website for more details www.bluesky-tvc.com or call us today. 231.633.2628

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/15

The trails were busy this weekend, but alot of that traffic has slowed down today. Everyone went home happy after riding. There were two deaths this weekend up north from snowmobiling. One in Grand Traverse County and the other north of Wolverine. A somber reminder that the fun comes with risks.
Our son Kevin came over today and got out on the trails with Nathan. They took trail 4 over to Starvation Lake, then enjoyed the Blue Bear before heading back to the motel. Both agreed it had been a good day of riding. They report that some of the corners were thin on snow, but had ice underneath so caution needed as you take the corners.
Snow is in the forecast thru this week.
