02/28

Fresh snowfall today 1-2 inches, hard to tell with all the blowing and drifting. All trails have been groomed in the last two days! Trails are in very rideable condition. Conditions still range from fair to excellent! The farther south the less snow, the farther west and north more snow and better trails. Road shoulders may be bare from sunshine if you run roads or going thru Brimley..

Our Radar Run was a great success with a top speed of 101.

Join us on Facebook also.

We will be taking over he 38 miles of trails groomed by Kinross Charter Township last season.

Gaylord Bureau
Trail Report: Feb 28th , 2012 @ 8:42 am
Reports are that trails are currently rated in our area as “Fair to even Good” ~ where they run through the woods and protected areas. However ~ trail # 7 is in “Fair to Poor” condition ~ especially where it runs along Otsego Lake. It is never a good indicator as to what the rest of the trails are like. Trail # 4 to the west is “Good” ~ except a little thin in some of the tight corners or in that short section where it’s in the open along Mancelona Road. You’ll still find some really good snow in the protected areas. As always please check back here updated reports

Trail Report for Tuesday – February 28th
by Heart Lake Resort on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 8:14am

I would currently rate the trails in our area as fair to even good where they run through the woods and protected areas. However, trail # 7 is in fair to poor condition, especially where it runs along Otsego Lake. That particular section is seldom in good condition and is never a good indicator as to what the rest of the trails are like. Trail # 4 to the west is good except a little thin in some of the tight corners or in that short section where it’s in the open along Mancelona Road. You’ll still find some really good snow in the protected areas, two-tracks and in the back country. The temperature right now is 12.5 degrees on our digital weather station here at Heart Lake Resort. We have people riding here this week. And remember, if you ever need more information or an honest trail report, whether you’re staying with us or not, please feel free to call. If you need a place to stay, please give us a call as well. We are now booking for Spring Golf Groups, your Family Reunion for Memorial Day Weekend and Summer Family Fun. Thank You.
