SAULT STE. MARIE UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association – 02/08 Got a report from a rider on 49 that it is holding up great and no signs of water! Thanks Travis! Since we couldn’t groom the last 2 days, please feel free to share what you’re seeing. I’m sure they’re starting to get bumpy in spots. We’ll get back out as soon as we can! Temps look promising for tomorrow but still WAY above average. Only lost 3” of snow today. Still right around 23” on the ground with 3-6” on the way tomorrow night, supposedly. I know some are worried since it was so warm. This hasn’t really hurt us at all. Road crossings and shoulders are bare and that makes it tricky getting in and out of towns but there is a ton of snow on the trails. If we get the new snow that is forecasted, that’ll take care of what we lost and help with the road riding/crossings. Be safe all! ❄️❄️❄️ <> <> Sault Ste. Keep an eye to the sky late tonight as the Aurora may be visible. Abundant sunshine is forecast for Friday.
