Harbor Springs Trail Report – 02/07
HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/07 Most all trails were groomed last night, with the sun we had yesterday some areas are now down to dirt. Bottom line is that we need more snow. It’s currently freezing rain & the high today is 38. We will keep you updated on conditions as it gets closer to the weekend. We also wanted to shout out Spankys Powersports in Alanson for being a long time supporter of the Snowmobile Club. On top of everything they do for the club they donated all of the studs for our tractor which really came in handy on the icy trails last night. <> <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Next round of accumulating snow is expected for the snow belts Tue PM through Wed. Heavy snow and strong winds gusting to 45-55+ mph are expected to create localized blizzard conditions across open areas at times from mid-morning into early afternoon. Drifting snow may make travel especially difficult on secondary roadways. Power outages will also be possible, especially across areas that experienced icing on Sunday.
