MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County Sorva – 1/11 TRAIL REPORT – Tuesday, January 11, 2022 COLD BUT GREAT TRAIL CONDITIONS! We received another 2 to 4 inches of new snow with bitter cold temperatures hanging around. The trail system is now in an overall very good condition, and good in towns and near roadways. Groomer Operators were pleased to have something substantial to work with and getting very good results last night. Dress for the cold, ride safe, stay right and enjoy! Totals of an inch or less are expected for most of the UP, but where lake effect snow occurs, up to 2-5in of snow is possible tonight through Tuesday evening. As winds pick up early Tuesday, patchy blowing snow may contribute to reduced visibility in the NW wind snow belts.
