Colin said “Took trail 3 from Houghton to Rockland. Plenty of snow and smooth as glass. Trail 3 couldn’t be better! All the way through the Porcupine Mountains was freshly groomed and great. Trail 8 from Bruce Crossing to Bergland was not good, low snow but freshly groomed. Most trails were starting to get icy after the holiday weekend, but definitely worth the trip up to ride. Very rideable trails all through the system.” Thanks for sharing Colin! We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
