Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/01
January 1, 2022 15 degrees this morning and snowing!!!! I picked up about 4 inches of fluff on my deck since last night. Happy New Year!!!! Looks like all we had to do was flip the calender over from 2021. Good start for the new year. So, here`s whats going on in Night Riders land…… Groomer Dave M. is heading out on the Falls trail #45 this morning. He`s taking a drag with him and will try his darndest to get this trail open today. We have one big water hole about 6 miles west of town on this trail but he will cut a detour around it for now. Mike C. is talking about heading out trail #8 to Pine Stump tomorrow. Waiting to hear snow reports from the Point trails to determine when to hit that, then we`ll start working on trail #8 south. Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!!

Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
