Paradise Area Trail Report – 12/26
December 26, 2021 The last couple of days haven`t been the best weather wise. Last Friday we got up to 38 and a little rain. Lost quite a bit of snow. Yesterday we stayed below freezing at least but no new snow. I can see some grass in my yard. The weather guessers are calling for some snow to roll in tonight but I don`t see a lot coming. I am getting some grief from some people for my not so rosey reports, but hey, it is what it is and I`m NOT gonna sugar coat a thing. Can`t do nutin bout the weather! Other areas close by have more snow than we have here in Paradise. We have not got the groomers out and we won`t till we get some decent snow. As in my last report on our trail system…..some trails are ridable but not that good. I have had some calls with people asking if its worth the trip up. I tell them if they are driving 3-4-500 miles I would wait but if your really eager and don`t mind wearing down your high fax and carbides and maybe having cooling problems then go for it! You could trailer over further west from here too. Sorry for not better news. Keep an eye on the weather, "they" could be wrong and we could get hammered outa the blue. I`ll keep ya`ll informed. Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!!

9 degrees this morning and snowing. I picked up 5-6" of fresh snow on my deck from last night and it looks like its supposed to snow for the next couple of days too!!!
Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
