KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports…. Adam shared these photos and comments today about his ride, “What a difference a day can make! Lots of fresh snow over the last day and a half, the Eagles Loop – Trail 130 (previously closed to loggingand just opened back up today) and the Lac La Belle loop – Trail 132 were freshly groomed and setting up nice! It is still thin on the spurs in and out of Eagle River and Eagle Harbor, but the loop is shaping up good. Trail 132 west has a few water puddles yet, very minimal, Trail 133 was easy sailing from Lac La Belle to Gay, it has a decent amount of snow on it now. There were some bigger water holes but all were easily passable. It looked like two other sleds had been down the trail before me. Trail 124 was good, Brockway from the west has snow on the trail now(was previously VERY thin to bare in spots) Trail 3, north of Mohawk, even through the stretch where there was previously logging is shaping up good. We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
