👏👏Good News👏👏 SOME of the logging has been completed in the areas north of Mohawk! This means that Groomer Operators are currently out trying to get as many trails as they can opened back up! If you don’t already have the Groomer Tracker app this would be a great time to download it and follow along with the progress of opening these trails! Throughout the season you would always know what has been freshly groomed also! Yesterday was a beautiful day on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! Unfortunately, a brief warmup is being ushered in, before a return to colder temps on Friday according to the forecast! 🗓 It should be noted that as of today….. December 12th ⚠️there were still some gates closed on the trail….the club has stated they are working on getting those opened ⚠️trail 122 is closed passed the turn off for the Dreamland Restaurant & Bar when you are coming from Lake Linden. You can still access all of the businesses in Lake Linden and Jam Service Inc. And the Valley Sno Drifters trail to Dreamland. You can not use Trail 122 to connect to Trail 124 🤞trail 133 from Gay to Lac La Belle will hopefully be opened sometime this season but is currently not open ⚠️There is still logging on trail 130 from Garden City Road to Central 🚫trail 120/121 Freda Loop and trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden will be closed for the season due to the extensive damage from the 2018 flood The trail from Hancock to Dollar Bay and from Calumet to Lake Linden will be open so both towns will be accessible 🚫the Portage Lake Lift Bridge will not be be open for snowmobile crossing until after December 18th (or later) this means there is no trail access from Houghton to Hancock ⚠️Until the Groomer Operators are able to make it out to all of the previously closed trails they will not know the condition of these areas – ride with extreme caution as it is considered very early season conditions especially in some of the areas the groomers have not been yet

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort >> Please when behind a groomer wait for them to flash lights for you to pass, this is for everyone’s safety. When approaching a groomer try to pull off to the side as far as you or ride as far off to the side as safe as you can. Please stay on your side of the trail, even more so try not to cross over onto freshly groomed trails. The longer it sets the better riding it is for you & others. Ride Right. Ride Safely.
