KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 02/10 It has now been an entire week of pretty much non stop snowfall and being under winter weather advisories….and today is no different! Adam Garvey has really been able to enjoy the fresh white gold and shared these photos and review of the trails he rode today. Adam said, “Trail 134, Trail 132, Trail 130 and Trail 3 from Phoenix, north are all decent today(mainly good). High rock trail is real rough, looks like it hasn’t been groomed in a while, very bumpy ride out to the end of the world.” So glad you enjoyed another day of riding, Adam. I believe the club is still dealing with grooming machines needing repairs and I assume this is why High Rock Trail has not gotten the needed attention. Hopefully parts will come in and machines can get back out there. I know all of these guys are working tirelessly to make that happen! <> Matt Protasiewicz and crew are having an epic time riding Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula this week! Matt shared these photos and review of trails. Matt said, “ awesome day riding! Only trails we didn’t hit were 122 and 124. Trail 130 had 8 inches of fresh snow on top of the groom trail, which was pretty fun to ride on. Trail three up to Brockway Mountain was in great shape, as was the trail 134 and trail 135 out of Copper Harbor, Michigan! Trail 132 was also in great shape. Well most trails close after today, Trail 3 is open all year and there’s plenty of snow left in these parts
It’s kinda sad dayfor trail riders especially since reports from Toivola north trails are reporting excellent conditions and a snowstorm in the forecast!
But gates will be locked up till next season
Personally right now starts my favorite rides of the year
Warm temps(sometimes tee shirt weather) but the beauty of the creeks and waterfalls are gorgeous!
I’m sure I’ll be sharing pictures for another month and will post here so y’all can ride vicariously through me!
It’s been a great winter
I’m pretty sure this will be my last season of riding with my battle with ALS
My body is giving up on me but not my spirit so stay tuned, ya never know
