Michigan Trail Report

Indian River Trail Report – 03/02

No change to report from yesterday… Groomers will check the trail tonight but we really haven’t received any measurable snow since they checked Monday night.

We got a little light snow last night and temperatures remain in the teens and low 20’s. That said, conditions on the wooded trails are decent. There is a thick base of ice and much of the trail has fresh snow over top. There are icy spots, especially in corners, so be careful out there.

The railroad grade is trickier as far as consistent conditions. With spring weather on the horizon, this upcoming weekend may be our last hurrah.

We’re expecting temps in the 20’s through Friday and then the warm up begins. Expect conditions in the woods to hold longest when the melt-off begins.

As for the next few days it’s still winter. Remember, the trail detours around the short swampy section of the Alanson connector (stay on the road). Thanks for checking in–
