TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> 02/27
Weekend Update 3/1 and 3/2!
Ranch will be open Saturday, March 1, noon to 4pm but only for beverages and to come out and enjoy the fire for maybe the last time of the season. It’s been such a warm week we lost a lot of snow and could not justify ordering food to be able to serve food this wknd. We will be closed on Sunday, March 2.
Our driveway and dirt road are down to dirt at this point. There is still some decent snow to be found out in the woods for the diehards. We will update here if groomers run at all this weekend.
At this point, unless there is a drastic change in weather and snowfall, Saturday March 1st will be our last day open for the winter season.
It was the winter we’d been dreaming of for the past 10 years. Thankful for good consistent snow and mostly thankful for all of you, our loyal winter friends and guests! Thank you for your continued patronage and a wonderful season!

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> Groomer Jeff was out on the east trail panning the fresh snow down yesterday. He rates the east trail as good with a 2-3 base. We will be sending out the groomers today on the west and south routes before the forecasted warm up. Please note, were are unable to pan/groom the powerlines because the ground is not frozen as of yet. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober... #traversecity#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> The winter weather advisory has come and gone. The trails took a hit this weekend with all the traffic. Luckily, we had a narrow lake effect band set up shop on Sunday and dropped a foot of fluff in some areas on the trail. Elsewhere, we received 2-6 inches. A few club members went out to check the trails on their sleds, and rated the trails as good, with some snirt in areas. We will be panning this new snow before the warm up this week. Hopefully, this warn up doesn't hurt the base too much. When your out on the trails and your looking for a place to eat. Check out our business sponsor Fife Lake Inn. Located on beautiful Fife Lake, their your family-friendly go-to spot for casual American dining, cold beverages and good times. Show them your tether and tell them GTASC sent you and receive 10% off your order. #traversecity#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less
