LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 01/04
Good evening/morning? Bergland Area checking in. Plans changed a little do to a ice incident going up hill. So we decided against covering 13n to Rockland. Anybody that knows our section of 13n knows there’s some pretty good rollers and we didn’t want to take any chances. So tonight 1n, 1s and 102 were groomed. All actually in much better shape than anticipated.
The lake effect snow we’ve received was actually making moisture when circulated from blade to drag and set up tight! It’s cold, so that definitely helped. Swamp’s remain frozen you’ll find thin and icy spots and some perfect spots. The tree in the pictures is being addressed in the morning. We have a couple guy’s coming in to remove this monstrosity from the corridor that sooner rather than later will end up damaging one of our machines.
All pictures are of 102. That’s your Saturday evening update. ❄️❄️❄️
