Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/17
1/17/24 1 degree above zero this morning and cloudy. Some lake effect is supposed to kick up today so that will be good. We do have about 2 feet on the ground right now. Here`s what went on yesterday…… Groomer Mike C. and rookie Patrick hit the Pine Stump trail #8. This is the first groom of the year for that trail and Mike said it turned out good. He said there are a few thin spots but all in all its good. Me and Groomer Kevin took just a machine and headed South. Our main goal was to set the trail better and fill in some of the ditches and small water holes. It turned out pretty good and is ready to run with a drag. We did not go thru the swamp. Our broke down machine is being a head ache. We have been working on it for 2 days now and we`ll be back at it again today. Hopefully this last thing we are trying will work. Not sure what the plan is for today as far as grooming but we are busting our butts to get things ready for this weekend. I`ll let ya know more when I know more. Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!!
