Watersmeet Trail Report – 01/05
WATERSMEET / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club – 01/05
Groomer went out last night and covered Trail 2 east to trail 3 North intersection, Trail 3 north up past Bond Falls to the turn around and Trail 3 south to the Wisconsin border. Really hurting for snow but we flattened it out. Trails are rated fair. Today the groomer will run Trail 2 west to Trail 1 south intersection and Trail 13 south to Cisco Lake. Like the whole up we need more snow. Groomers will probably sit in the barn until next week when we’ll take another look at conditions

Had Mike and Mac out yesterday, but Wyatt and Jay really hit it!
All trais in our system were groomed last night except Trail 11.

You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
