TRAIL REPORT – Thursday, 03/19/2020
STILL GROOMING WITH GREAT TRAILS!

Overall trail conditions are good to very good in areas with a soft snow covering and good base. Decent late season riding conditions and not much change. Traffic is down. Near the towns we have bare roads and dirty/icy snow on trails running along the roadways though the Wetmore Spur along M-28 is very good. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore is un-groomable and getting thin with icy corners and hill tops. Measurable snow in the forecast after a shot of freezing rain. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails​ – 3/19

Well last nights ( Wednesday ) groom went well. The trail is smooth but very icy in many spots. Use caution on corners as they can be very icy now. Rain in the forecast for Thursday and snow for Friday. With the rain and temps on Thursday we will not be grooming. Sadly some of the problem wet spots are begining to show up again, as of now they are not a problem but I am sure with the rain and warm temps for next week they will begin to open up quickly. I am only mentioning this so you are aware they will be a problem soon but as of now they are not. Hoping for a few inches of snow on Friday to help with the icy areas. Should be a decent weekend to ride. As you all know the Pub and the Throttle have no dinning in but they are doing takeout but their hours are limited. All gas stations are open with regular hours. Might just be an excellent last ride of the year for many people. Have fun, be safe, and ride right.

STILL GROOMING WITH GOOD RIDING!
Overall trail conditions are good to very good in areas with a soft snow covering and good base. Decent late season riding conditions. Traffic is down with light chop developing between grooming runs. Near the towns we have bare roads and dirty/icy snow on trails running along the roadways. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore is un-groomable and getting thin with icy corners and hill tops. Check Fuel and Food stops before heading out. Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
