This is the Keweenaw trail system report for Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
The snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open and groomers are out working on them. Conditions range from poor in towns and near the lake, to good. Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails….they have the right of way!!!
There is logging on a short portion of Trails 132 and 133.

The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.

Good News! We have snow, and Gaylord is grooming! We have between 8 to 11 inches of new snow from the storm Sun/Mon. They did their first run of grooming last night, and we just saw the groomer go by right now.
We had a group of riders just return from a ride to Starvation Lake. They reported a good ride. A few bumps but overall good riding. Jordan River has also been grooming.
Its finally here and everyone is eager to get out and enjoy the snow.
We look forward to seeing you soon. We are located directly on trail 7. Enjoy being able to park your snowmobile outside your room, and being on the trail within a minute after getting on your sled. Give us a call to make your reservation 989-732-2703 or 989-732-4914.
