Drummond Island Trail Report – 01/22

1/22/13 Update:

The West end of the Island is in Good to Excellent shape.

East end of the Island still has some water holes and has thin snow along the shorelines but other than that it is in pretty decent shape. This cold weather should help freeze the water holes up! It’s 3:00pm and it is still only -3 out there!

Benzie Visitor Bureau – 01/21

Hi all! Monday Monday and SNOW SNOW SNOW! Trails are improving as I type this! It is WHITE outside my window and has been! We are receiving pretty good Lake Effect snow now with several inches down and several more in the forecast and snow in every days forecast this week! Temps are very cold this week with single digit highs so that’s gonna help the snow stay and set up good for a base to build again! But remember to bundle up in your layers! Groomers were out this morning and yesterday and they will continue to pan and groom as this snow continues. Lake Effect is in the forecast for 5 days! So – we should have some pretty great riding by the weekend for sure! So gas em’ up, get bundled up and get out and ride! Remember to be aware of the new signage program as some signs are not there anymore! And Hey, drop me a note and let me know you’re out there! Be safe, be smart and I’ll seeya on the trails! Carol
