Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 12/05

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 12/5

12-5-19, Gogebic Area Grooming is making progress.

Trails 13 North and South got hit today! The drag went up 13 North and Marenisco’s Groomer went South on 13 breaking trails once more. Trail 100 and 102 also got hit.

Again 8W between Bergland and Wakefield is wet as usual. If you cross the trail to the ditch, your going to swim….. Would advised only paddle track sleds to break trail at this time on 8W. Also if you ride the shoulder of the road, expect a ticket… We are going to try to break trail very soon…. We need some cold weather first to freeze it up.

Trail 8W is open but it sure is ride at your own risk!

Here is a few pictures! Trail 8E towards Ewen was done last night.

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Bergland Bay Bar – 12/5

23 with a high of 29 today and more snow! Stop by and see us!
(We just got back from being out west and HOLY WOW with the amount of snow around!) BE SAFE AND RIDE SMART!

Munising Area Trail Report – 12/05

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails

Trail conditions are not as good as people would expect. The heavy late rain and lack of freezing has made it difficult at best to set the trail for many clubs, including us. Add the trees down everywhere and it gets worse. Clubs need help all across the region. We are hoping to have the tractor pulled out later today, but it will be a few days until we get through our trail system.

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA

Storm Damage Trail Update
This is the worst we have ever seen. Crews have been out but progress is slow, 6 hours of clearing trees today and only 3 miles covered. Work has been started in Shingleton heading West and North. We will give a detailed trail report in the next day or so on what has been cleared and possibly groomed.
