Ontonagon Trail Report – Scott’s Superior Inn – 12/19

We are grooming in every direction, we still have wet areas to freeze up, but some areas are in great shape, with warmer temps this weekend shouldn’t hurt us to bad, but has to get below freezing at night for us to groom. I know lots of you have good snow by home, but remember when everyone has snow, we have more and virtually no one riding, worth the extra drive to have better trails and very light traffic!
Scott’s Superior Inn and Cabins are located right on trail #12, and close to gas and food, we have lots of openings all season right now! (906) 884-4866

Paradise Area Trail Report – 12/18

December 18, 2019

3 degrees this morning and snowing on and off. We picked up about 2 inches of snow last night. The weather guessers were calling for a lot more which we were hoping for. It is supposed to get up into the 30`s this weekend which isn`t gonna help our cause any. Here`s whats been going on the last couple days……

We still haven`t made it through the Point trails #452 and #453. We have spent 2 days trying to cut through and it looks like it will be at least one more. Besides the trees down there is a lot of water on these trails.

Yesterday, groomers Dave M., Kevin, Jack and myself took 2 machines and made our way south of town. The good news is we made it thru "da swamp" but it is NOT RIDEABLE with sleds. The gates are closed, don`t even think about going around them. The rest of the trail going south of the river is ok with just a couple small wet spots so we left the gates open for this section. With the weather warming up this weekend we will not go back in there till it cools down again, plus we need more snow to fill in the water holes.

The Falls trail #45 is still too wet to open the gates on. The only trail that is rideable is Trail #8 heading to Pine Stump. Loggers are in there though so watch out for them. They will be outa there at the end of this week and thats when we`ll go back in and groom the rest of this trail.

Soooo….for all of you thinking about coming UP this weekend….riding can be had, but I would suggest waiting another week….just my honest opinion because of the warm up coming for this weekend.

All fer now……LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Groomer Chris
