Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/02

Hoping to make it thru the next couple of days and then winter should be on its way back. Sled traffic was a little above slow yesterday and I would have thought more people would be out.

I had many calls asking about how it was and I said to get here and do it right now. Still good out this morning and riders yesterfday actually reported great as can be trails on trail 7 to north of waters and then trail 4 great out to the Settings at lakes of the north. Even a groomer sighting up that way and even saw the gaylord groomer here in frederic yesterday.

Weatherman is saying 40s today and tommorow. Its 11 now and only up to 36 and not as sunny as it was yesterday so hoping for not much melt off…….Tiime will tell. Also heard of an accident that happened up near intersection of 7 and 4 trails. Dont know any more than that except that there was a tree involved. Also it was good to have a visit from Dixie the Beagle yesterday. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Munising Area Trail Report – 01/02

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 1/2

TRAIL REPORT – Thursday, 01-02-2020
FLAT BASE RE-ESTABLISHED
Overall trail conditions are good. Groomer Operators were able to get the soft wet snow shaped in and set flat over the last few days. There are a few thin areas on Trail 419 near Munising and water flowing in sections of Trail 418 just east and west of Au Train. Other than that pretty nice riding conditions. Please slow down and make sure everyone arrives at your next destination. Now do a cold weather snow dance – Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
