Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 01/31

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Bergland Bay Bar – 1-31-2020, 10:45AM:
If you weren’t here this week you missed out. Trails were excellent everywhere. Had a group in that put on 908 miles in 4 days. Now we’re looking at a warm up. Low 30’s for highs today and tomorrow, and possibly low 40’s Sunday. That’s if you believe the weatherman. Then cooling back down. Going to be touch and go with the groomers tonight and tomorrow. If temps cool enough at night, they will be out. Stay safe, stay warm, stay right, but don’t stay home. Beer is cold and food is hot. Come see us….

CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – 1/30

Last minute availability in CABINS!
Today’s Trail Report & pics from Pete:
“Just rode a few miles around Boon, LPL and such from Coyote. Overall, things are still pretty good, but hard and icy in spots.

I would rate trails a 5 to 7 around here, as our early base has held up better than I would expect. 1-2" is expected Saturday, so I think we will hold up OK until Sunday afternoon.

Groomers are out right now and tonight to get small bumps smoothed out. Things are snirty and thin around staging spots and high traffic points. Groomer driver said 6 West and 37 South were getting some thin spots, but 6 East and 637, 37 North were quite good, just need another pass with groomer to be Very Good.

Hoping for third straight busy weekend for businesses up here!
THINK SNOW! … Pete”
