Ironwood Trail Report – 01/17

IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 1/17

While one groomer is down our crew relishes the opportunity to show what the team we call our friends can do. Our Tucker was out 160 yesterday grooming and reopened the final closed section, hats off to Jerry, Joe & Scott for busting butt to get it done. They then signed a 1.5 mile plowed section for logging, if you see caution tape and logging signs slow down! Plowed roads should never be travelled faster than 25MPH. They swapped crews out by Saxon Harbor and groomed back to Ironwood and Bessemer. Then over night Matt Rogers took the rig down to Marenisco and he remains on the return route.

Another driver will relieve him in Wakefield to head back to Ironwood to groom the towns. He will bring it back to the barn for a few hours thaw for greasing/inspection before it heads out tonight for the weekend. We are running about 30-35 hours straight without shutting down. Why? We really like folks riding here supporting our club, sponsors and communities. Join us!

Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/17

January 17, 2020

18 degrees this morning with a light snow floating around in the air. We picked up about 2 inches of fluff last night. We are under a winter weather advisory, what ever that means, for tonight and thru the weekend. They are saying up to a foot for us, lets hope they got it right this time! Here`s whats gonna happen the next couple days……..

Groomer Mike is heading out this morning on the Pine Stump trail #8.

Groomer Dave is also heading out this morning and gonna run the South trail #8. He is gonna venture into "da swamp" with a drag for the first time this year. If he can get it ridable he will open up the gates!!!

When Dave gets back I am gonna head to the Falls on trail #45.

Tomorrow, Groomer Kevin will run the Point trails #452 and #453 and Groomer Jack will hit the Stump trail again and me or somebody will run the Falls trail again.

Sooo……there you have it. Busting our butts with just 2 machines, all for your enjoyment!!!!!!

LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Groomer Chris
