Munising Area Trail Report – 02/22

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/22

TRAIL REPORT – Saturday, 02-22-2020
GREAT TRAIL CONDITIONS!
Overall trail conditions are very good with great riding conditions. In general we have a great flat base with t only a few sugary, icy corners, mainly on Trail 419 in the hills behind Munising. High traffic areas near Wetmore and North of Shingleton are expected to get rough between grooming runs. Warmer temperatures today and Sunday so we will do what we can with daytime grooming as long as the snow cooperates. Our UP Central neighbors to the West are down a groomer. We are re-working our schedule to cover 8 miles of Trail 417 for them from the Brownstone Intersection to Deerton Road. Use caution if riding west on this west section of Trail 417 until we get our grooming operations adjusted. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe! photos: Trail 7 south (daytime), others Trail 8

Trails were great last night.
Bright sun and warm today.
Groomers will try to go tonight when it cools. Might be the last groom until Tuesday’s cool down.
Plan on rough trails by early Saturday. Not much we can do

February 20, 2020

Helloooo! Yeehah! We got some more system snow the other night on top of what we had and then a little LE snow after that so it’s looking pretty good out there! Unfortunately we have a mini warm up coming tomorrow and thru the weekend with temps around 40 degrees and sunshine but let’s hope that doesn’t do too much damage before the cold returns next week! Let’s hope this is our season now finally! Keep your eyes open on the hills and corners – the groomers are out there! If ya do see a groomer, get outta their way and give them a thumbs up! Groomers rock! So, till next time! Get out and enjoy! Ride right! Ride smart! HAVE FUN! See ya on the trails! Carol 🙂
