So far so good with about 4to 6 inches of wet heavy snow here in frederic, there was a little less that that in grayling when I left home this morning but still looking good and snow is supposed to continue till ten tonight. Still have seen or heard any sleds and I myself wouldnt ride in this but I know there will be some die hards that will want to try it.

Trail permits have been the popular item this morning and it wont take long for me to run out of them as they only give me 50 at a time. I want to let what snow we do have to get packed down so I have no plans on plowing right yet unless the county comes along and leaves me a big pile like they love to do.

Trailers have been coming in and getting parked at my storage lot and I did have a guy call that wants to come and park out back at my park n ride……So thats about it for now. Its now about 10;30 saturday morning and its 31 degrees so I still feel like this will end up being a slush bowel. Pic below with the snow I just took out the front door of the shop looking towards the swamp and the sleds on the trailer were from last night when Steve from Ohio had just picked up his 2 new ski doo 850s from gaylord. Is this really the calm before the storm? Its a calm and still 36 degrees this morning here in beautiful downtown quarantined Frederic. Weather man says its going to hit us tonight with 6 to 9 inches. As I alway say I will believe it when I see it but my gut feeling is it will be a slush bowl.

TV is already talking about wet heavy with power outages but we have to start with a base somewhere and now is as good as time as any.

I checked in with Kenny and Lona at the Frederic Inn yesterday to see what their schedule will be and they will be open for take out and Ken said they will have a section for outside and have a keep it simple menu like burgers and chili things for people and that he will have a large fire going out back. Also went to the Swamp and talked to Jeff and they have seating outside with heat for about 50 or so people and they also will have take out. I havent had a chance to check with Lisa at the Keg yet to see what she will have there. So maybe we will at least get started this weekend.
