Warm up has softened the trails which is causing them to get bumpy and corners are getting dug out and icy, still lots of snow on trails so just need cold temps to groom again, calling for colder temps and snow starting weds. And YES , We can now eat inside restaurants again, they are at a limited number but better than nothing.
Scott’s Superior Inn and Cabins are located right on trail #12, and close to gas and food, we have lots of openings all season right now! (906)884-4866

Trails are in fair to good condition. There’s a little more snow west of town, so trails in that direction are looking good! Heading north and south, you may encounter a bit less snow as you move out of our area, but conditions are still overall fair to good. Both groomers have been running and we have a solid 4 inch base in most areas. Trails were groomed today.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise….walked out the door this morning to a nice fresh 3 inches of overnight lake effect snow. While it isnt the kind of snow to build a better base with it sure makes it look good.
Pic below is two guys from down by Monroe who were lucky enough to get to ride in the new stuff. I checked with the National Weather service and I like there long range forcast thru this coming weekend much better than the tv stations forcast. I guess as I have said many times before, time will tell. Also I forgot to mention that Jeff & Amy from Lovells stopped by on saturday.on their ride around the loop.
Hopefully I can get out for a ride myself in the next couple of days.
FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE >> Merry Christmas Eve day. To bad the sun is out and going to melt more of our snow today. It made it up to 43 yesterday and we lost alot. I saw a few sleds across the street and heard one brapp yesterday. Very quiet out there this morning and its not looking like we will get any snow until about New Years which is not what we want to see. Even Grayling was like a ghost town when I drove thru town this morning. JORDAN VALLEY AREA UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council >> Groomers ran north and south today, unfortunately neither operator had much good to report. The extended warm up from last week has taken a drastic toll on the trails. North of Elmira the trails were really thin today. The trails south of Alba are thin but flat and rideable as of now. The rest of this week is expected to be cold but very little to no snow with high 30’s on Saturday. The end of next week is predicted to have high 30’s with some freezing rain.
