IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 01/31
With the frigid temperatures outside will be sending out the groomers around 3:00 p.m. . The trails being groom today will be trail 8 to Tula along with trail 2 to Marenisco.Trail 2 to Hurley and along the way the trail to the Aurora Club and then over to a New sponsor Norrie Amateur Sports Club which is located near the statue of Hiawatha. The Aurora Club opens at 1:00 PM and the Norrie Amateur Sports Club opens at 4:00 PM. both offer cold drinks and pizza. Stop in and say hi.

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP >> Trail Report 1/18:
We had Josh back yesterday!!
He groomed Trail #137 from Ontonagon to Rockland.
Trail #13 from Trail #137 to Trail #101.
Trail #101 to Trail #12 at Potato Farm Road.
Trail #12 from P.F. Rd. to the clubhouse in Ontonagon.
He reported all trails in very good condition wit 12 plus inches of fresh powder!
Tractor Mac went into the Porkies and groomed Trail #1 from Trail #12 South of White Pine to Lake of the Clouds.
Trail 11 (South Boundary Road) from Trail #1 to Trail #102.
He reported all in very good condition with the exception of Trail #1 along the big lake, still thin.

Travel impacts abate tonight with lake effect snow becoming light into Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, a shot of widespread snow will be followed by strong winds and lake effect. The snow in this period will change to the kind that blows around really easily. Light snow in the area all day with heavy snow closer to the Porkies. Temp's were pretty consistent around 24° and we're still under a winter storm warning..

We received 12in at 9am here at HNCA White Pine/Ontonagon location, with the heaviest snows said to fall today, yet! We have a sensational trail base and deep snow pack off trail!
